Pacquiao has NOT officially retired from boxing, says his advisor

‘s close advisor has insisted he has not officially retired from boxing, despite the legend’s plan to run for the Philippines presidency next year. 

The eight-division world champion is widely viewed as one of the greatest of all time but, since his recent defeat to Yordenis Ugas, he’s suggested his career is coming to a close – even recently saying his . 

Since he was elected to the house of representatives in the Philippines back in May 2010, Pacquiao has maintained an interest in a political career and recently said he will run to become his nation’s president next year.

However, according to the president of Pacquiao’s promotional company and his cl that his career focus may now solely be outside of the ring.  

He said: ‘My boxing career is already over. It’s done because I’ve been in boxing for a long time and my family says that it is enough. 

‘I’m a fighter and will always be a fighter, inside and outside of the ring.

‘All my life, I haven’t backed down from any fight. Nothing is impossible if it’s ordained by God.’ 

The Filipino boxing legend did admit that he will always be involved in the boxing world to help and inspire the next generation of boxers in the Philippines. 

He added: ‘I will just support other boxers for us to have a champion again.’
